MIR TOOLKIT: TOOL #2

Why does she bring up issues from the past?

WHAT IS THIS VIDEO ABOUT?

Many men have had this experience during an argument.

Just when you think you’re discussing something that happened today, your partner suddenly brings up something from five years ago. Or ten years ago. And from your perspective it feels completely out of nowhere.

Your instinct is usually frustration.

You might think, “Why are we dragging the past into this?” or “I thought we already dealt with that.” To a pragmatic mind, the past should stay in the past so the two of you can focus on solving what’s happening right now.

But the feminine nervous system doesn’t quite work that way. It is built such that old memories can suddenly resurface during conflict.

In this video, we’re going to look underneath the surface and explore why this happens — and what YOU can do to have less of it in the future.
